Drama ,why do we need it to be in the paranormal field

There seems to be a lot of drama in the paranormal field .There also a lot of distrust with a lot of the researcher in this field. Some people that have  been in this field for 20+ years, seem to get along with just about anyone and try to help these teams grow .When I started CNHPS we were a nobody team from NH, as we started to get more case drama would follow right behind us. I have seen too many new teams break apart because of the drama out there in the field. Sometimes we create our own drama, that starts a waterfall effect on the team and on yourself. Why can't we just try and work together for science and for the knowledge to help the field grow.

  4. Well said Eric, the problem is that some teams spend so much time spreading the word of "no more drama in the paranormal" that it almost seems like convincing the rest of the community that that you stand for unity is more important than the reasons that brought you to the paranormal. Another problem I think we face is the egos in the paranormal and if a case goes beyond a teams realm of knowledge, they will simply abandon the family rather than swallow their pride and look for a solution for the family in need. The problem we face in the paranormal is the arrogance of teams who actually believe that being in the paranormal is all about them and their popularity, where the least important person in a situation where a family is in need, are the investigators going into the home. Wanting families to know who you are to offer help when needed is one thing, but trying to be the "big man" of the paranormal helps no one. Of more teams could adopt this theory of thinking, then a lot more families would be helped and working together as a community would come a lot more easily. Unfortunately I have been around long enough and been burnt enough times to realize that recognition and popularity outweighs friendship and commitment to those who should be working together. sadly I do not see a big change in the near future, but I would just ask for all teams to take a few steps backwards and make sure that every decision they are making is in the best interest of the family and not just another notch in their belt to wear as some kind of trophy even though in the end the faily never found the peace they were searching for.

  5. I agree Eric. Paranormal Vigilante, I think you summed everything up perfectly. I have been on the receiving end of someone with a HUGE ego and trying to become famous. In this field, we all must support and help each other since we in this field for the same reason.
